This course is designed for candidates seeking a structured entry into the merchant navy through a residential Diploma in Nautical Science programme at SUNAV Maritime Academy.

Academic Route

Built for 10+2 PCM, select B.Sc. streams, and eligible B.E./B.Tech graduates.

Industry Readiness

Includes structured academic semesters, hostel support, uniforms, and digital training materials.

Medical Fitness

Candidates must meet DGS sea service medical norms, including vision and colour standards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed 10+2 with an average of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Electronics with Physics as an individual subject in one of the years, with an average of not less than 55% marks in the final year.
  • B.E. or B.Tech degree from IIT or from a college recognized by AICTE with an average of not less than 50% marks in the final year.
  • Minimum 50% marks in English either in 10th standard or 12th standard.
  • Age limit: below 25 years.
  • Candidates should have secured an IMU CET rank.
  • Candidates should have sponsorship from the shipping company.
